Have a question? Check the FAQ below. Still stuck? Email us at support@stytch.app.

Do I need an account to use Stytch?
No. You can shoot, review sessions, and export timelapses without any account. Sign-in is only required if you want to purchase or restore 'Remove Ads' across devices.
Where are my photos stored?
All photos and sessions are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to a server. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
How do I export a timelapse?
Open any session in the Sessions tab, tap Export, choose your frame rate and resolution, then tap Render. The video is saved directly to your device's photo library.
What is 'Remove Ads'?
A one-time in-app purchase ($2.99) that permanently removes all banner and interstitial ads. It restores across devices when you sign in with the same account.
How do I restore my 'Remove Ads' purchase?
Go to Settings inside the app and tap 'Restore Purchases'. You must be signed in with the same account used for the original purchase.
What is the ESP32-CAM feature?
Stytch supports connecting a DIY ESP32-CAM module over your local WiFi network, allowing you to run fixed-position timelapses remotely. This is a beta feature accessible via Settings → StytchCam (Beta).
How do I set the capture interval?
On the Shoot screen, use the interval picker to set the time between frames — from every few seconds up to every few hours.
Can I delete individual frames from a session?
Yes. Open a session, tap a frame to select it, and use the delete option. Changes are saved locally.
Why does an ad appear after I export?
The free version shows a brief interstitial ad after each export. Purchasing 'Remove Ads' disables this permanently.
The app crashed or something isn't working — what do I do?
Please email us at support@stytch.app with your device model, OS version, and a description of what happened. We'll get back to you as quickly as we can.
How do I delete my account?
If you signed in, email support@stytch.app to request account deletion. We'll process it within 30 days.
Is Stytch available on Android and iOS?
Yes — Stytch is available on both Google Play (Android) and the App Store (iOS).
Is there a web version?
Not currently. Stytch is a mobile-first app designed around on-device camera capture.
